New York, 9 April 2025. The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) held its third annual global townhall meeting.
More than 2,000 UNJSPF participants and beneficiaries joined the event to receive important updates from Chief Executive of Pension Administration, Rosemarie McClean and Representative of the Secretary-General for the investment of UNJSPF assets, Pedro Guazo.
Ms. McClean emphasized that our clients can be assured that their benefits are secure. She explained that changes in the number of participants has a limited impact on the Fund’s solvency, and the Fund is continuing its modernization efforts to ensure excellent service to clients. She also provided a comprehensive update on outreach initiatives and the Fund’s communication channels, which have helped the Fund stay in touch with over 250,000 clients and stakeholders last year.
Ms. McClean encouraged clients to reach out to the Fund through its official channels, especially the “Contact Us” page on the Fund’s website.
Mr. Guazo showed the long history of strong financial performance of the investment's portfolio in different market situations. He explained how the basis for this good performance has been to have a professional team that every day pursues to be effective, efficient, transparent, responsible and transformational. He reminded us about all the relevant and timely information that has been available on our websites for many years, with the objective of giving all the participants, retirees and beneficiaries peace of mind regarding our pension plan.
