As an update to our announcement in early August 2023 regarding sanctions imposed on Niger by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the Fund has secured a new payment channel to remit monthly XOF (West African CFA franc) pension payments to the Fund’s beneficiaries in Niger.

Your monthly benefits will be reinstated, and payments will be credited to your account, starting with your October 2023 benefit. All necessary actions will be handled by the Fund; therefore, no action is required on your part.

Additionally, the previously suspended August and September benefits will be reissued after the reinstatement of the monthly benefit.
