On 20 March 2024, Pedro Guazo, Representative of the Secretary-General for the investment of the UNJSPF assets and Mr. Attila Hornok, Private Markets Risk Officer at the UNJSPF, participated at the Titan Investors Institutional Exchange in Brooklyn, NY.

This invitation-only event convened leading institutional investors and allocators in the northeast region of the United States.

Mr. Guazo, who moderated a panel on Asset Allocation in a Dynamic Market Environment, opened up the discussion by asking the panelists to share insights on setting investment objectives to shape the organization’s asset allocation style.  

The panel discussed how investment managers should aim to balance client demands for ESG considerations, while taking the organization’s investment goals and values into account. Others highlighted the challenges of interest rate hikes and the need for investors to monitor their asset allocation and liability management closely. 

The panel also addressed asset allocation in fixed income, equities, and private markets.
